Ye Ol' Bus Barn

The Natrona County School District Transportation Department started operations underneath the Natrona County High School Football Stadium to provide transportation for students outside the city limits of Casper. As the population in Casper grew, the Transportation Department moved to a metal building  on the corner of Chesnut and Wimborn Streets in the 1960's.

With the county wide consolidation of school districts and the economic boom Casper was experiencing in the 1970's, the department outgrew this facility and in 1979 construction began on a new, state of the art transportation facility located at 922 N. Foster Rd.

The facility was fully operational in the fall of 1980 and an additional wing was added for bus parking in 1981.

The current staff works out of this facility and are proud to provide transportation support services to the excellent educational programs the Natrona County School District offers.
